Common Errors

Please be sure you are using Internet Explorer version 7 and up or Firefox version 3 and up. All other browsers are not compatible with the online system.

Bad Gateway or Service Temporarily Unavailable

  • Please try again within the next 15 to 20 minutes


Locked Out Due to Numerous Login Attempts

  • Close all your browsers and Try Again


Forgot Password or Reset Password

  • Please email onlinehelp@hpc.state.tx.us to get this issue resolved. In the subject enter "PASSWORD RESET" and in the body let us know what email address you are using that requires the password to be reset.


No Matching Records Found

  • Means that one of the key pieces of information that you have entered does not match the records that are stored in the database system.
  • Please email onlinehelp@hpc.state.tx.us. In the Subject enter "NO MATCHING RECORDS" and in the body include your: Full Name, Profession, License Number, data that was entered for matching. DO NOT include your private information such as SSN and DOB.


Entity Already Exists under another User ID

  • Means that your license is associated with another login or email address.
  • Please email onlinehelp@hpc.state.tx.us. In the Subject enter "ENTITY ALREADY EXISTS" and in the body include your: Full Name, Profession, License Number, and email address that you want your license(s) to be under.


Technical Difficulties, Please Cancel Your Application

  • When entering numbers, please be sure to use whole numbers only. No decimals or dashes.
  • For all date entries be sure it is in the MM/DD/YYYY format such as 05/04/2011
  • If you are changing your Home Address, that may also cause an issue. Please proceed with the application without changing that address and submit a written request to your respective agency to get your address updated. It appears to be a bug in the system that we are working to resolve.
  • If you still receive the error after following the tips above, please email onlinehelp@hpc.state.tx.us. In the subject enter "CANCEL YOUR APPLICATION" and in the body include your: Full Name, Profession, License Number, and attach a copy of the Summary of Application page with your responses being sure to not include your SSN.
